it is amazingly comforable considering how much all my stuff weighs and are pockets to spare.

I have a laptop from [...], the NP 9880. This thing is huge, and weighs about 12 pounds, but I can safely say it is one of the most powerful notebooks on earth.
Anyway, when I slip my notebook into this backpack, the zippers can barely zip over the corners of my laptop… it’s a struggle to pull this thing in and out of the backpack, especially while i have books in it as well. After I have my notebook, school books, power supply, mouse, a few CDs, and my school supplies (calculator, pens, pencils) packed into the backpack, there is hardly any room, which makes pulling things out / putting things in very cumbersome.
I’m almost considering selling off this backpack and buying a Targus XL, which I’ve heard is taller and will accomodate the monstrosity of a laptop computer i carry around.
However, if you were to have a slightly smaller laptop, this backpack is terrific. It is very VERY comfortable to wear, and seems very sturdy. Also keeps the laptop (apart from the two top corners) very secure and safe from bumps. The only problem would be is if you were to drop the backpack upside down with the laptop in it, it may be damaged… but those are some odd circumstances and are not likely to happen.

Unfortunately the item advertised was not the one I received. It was a Kensington bag, but not the one in the picture nor the one on the tag that came attached to the item. Will be returning and filing a complaint with Amazon.com.

I recently got a new laptop for use at university and wanted a good way to carry it around. A lot of my friends in our computer science department and other people too, including my girlfriend, had these ugly big laptop bags that had about 20 inches of ultra ballistic padding in them. I decided that was not what I wanted to drag around campus with me, so I started looking at backpacks with built in notebook holders. I checked out Best Buy and was disgusted at the prices, so I checked here. I found this nice one from Kensington and saw that it was via Circuit City, so I went to the store today to check it out. This thing is pretty awesome – I reall ylike the MP3 player pocket with the line out spot, and also it has a nice ammound of padding and is really comfy. I’m ordering it tonight, really looking forward to it showing up!
